One Week After Your Regional Tournament: State Finals?
Whether your team is advancing to State Finals or not, I encourage everyone to stop on by (if feasable) and watch some solutions to the challenge you did and the challenges you didn't. The Secondary teams are always worth watching. Seeing older, more sophisticated teams perform can give teams plenty of ideas for next year.
If your team is going to State Finals, I suggest that they check out their solution materials for damage that might have occured in transportation and use. I never had a team that did a whole lot to improve their solution between Regional and State, but yours may decide to make some improvements. It needs to be the team's decision of course.
The IC's at the State level are generally more difficult than the IC's we get at the Regional level. As always, I suggest practicing a variety of IC types and start trying some advanced challenges if you haven't already done so.

I would like to contact the teams that are going on to globals from silicon valley. I am one of the team mangers who will be going to Tennessee. I would like to have some information from you with regards to publicity and fund raising.
The subject for that last comment was "Silicon Valley- Globals team managers". I recommend you all use your Regional e-groups for this (or contact your RD if your region does not have one).
The Do or DI challenge - elementary level has 18 teams in all.. anyone knows how many will be going on to the Globals?
Can you please give an example or two for the difficulty level of the ICs at the State tournament. Especially as applicable to the Elementary School teams.
I have not seen the State Challenges yet. So, luckily, I can answer freely.
Comparatively speaking, the differences between levels is still noticeable. We don't expect Elementary Level teams to suddenly step up and tackle higher level challenges.
The largest difference is greater detail, more props and so on.
I hope your team has fun at State.
